Exponential Conference – Louie Giglio

Louie Giglio was one of the first speakers to kick off the Exponential Conference.  He was funny in that he has only been church planting for a little over a year and reference that he would just be out here listening and learning…greatest take away was that we need to have “the power” behind all we are doing.

  • To be the church planter/leader I need to be…I need to have power.
  • To be the campus pastor I need to be…I need to have power. (that ones mine)
  • What kind of church did the “Acts 2 Church” try to model?
  • Do we want to look around and see something and say let’s become that…or do we want to take the view of the Acts 2 Church that went out to become the church God wanted them to become.
  • What did the Acts 2 church have to start: Teachings of Jesus…Eye witnesses of the Resurrection…the Power of the Holy Spirit.
  • We have what they had!!!!!
  • The Holy Spirit is NOT an “it”…The Holy Spirit is a Him…The Holy Spirit is the engine of the church of the living God…The Holy Spirit is one part of the Almighty Triune Godhead.
  • My vocabulary should come from the “The Everliving Book of God” not just the latest church leadership book.
  • Transformation happens in the Word…and at the tomb…and by the power of the Holy Spirit.
  • Our church must lift up these three or WHO’S going to do the TRANSFORMING!
  • His Word is powerful EVERYTIME…
  • Did I put the Word of God before the people correctly…and did it achieve its assignment?
  • Are we being led by the spirit?????
  • If there is going to be transformation…am I locked in on Him?
