The Mis-Adventures of Multi-Site

Legend tells of the story of @gibbsg, @joeydavila & @JasonCurlee who are three average guys trying to survive in this world.  After a long morning of meetings, the baf | multi-site team went to eat (well almost all of them). Jason, George and Joey Davila all went together in George’s car.

The troubleactually began earlier that day as Jason & George, traveling together to the meeting, both noticed the low gas light come on in George’s car.  Thinking he still had at least 30 miles of gas the two forged on to the meeting.

Fast-forward to the ride home from the restaurant.  George, Jason and Joey are about 1 mile out from the baf | Corpus campus when all of the sudden they began to lose power in the car.

“Oh No!!!”, cried George, “we’re out of gas!” As the three watched John Atkinson, Multi-Site Pastor for baf, leave them in the dust as he continued on without notice.

This is where the action picks up…as well as the comedic relief.

Jason decides to put out a rescue tweet while George tries to call for some help.

“Help…stranded on road with @joeydavila cause @gibbsg ran out of gas”, tweeted Jason.

At the same time Joey decides to put out a rescue video of his own.  See the video [HERE]

Then there is a plethora of tweets that hit the twitter airwaves:

  1. RichardWendland – @joeydavila @JasonCurlee @gibbsg bwaaaahahahahahaha
  2. robbiecurlee – @JasonCurlee tisk tisk tisk…….really people they are smarter than they look……ok maybe not LOL

As the three were stranded there on the road within reach of their destination they see a lone truck in the distance.  As the truck came closer it slowed to a stop upon which Jason tweeted, “Oh dang…some big ugly guy has stopped to help us…oh wait…it’s @johncatkinson…disregard the big part”.

Of which we also received more tweets from the internet.

As Joey shoots some video of the mis-adventures of the three, his assistant drives by and waves as she proceeds to never stop to help the trio.  Here is a video of the event as it unfolded.

This event will forever go down in the lore of these three heroes who have braved the lone stretch of the highway only to rescued out of the depths of despair by John Atkinson who will forever hold this over the head of poor George Gibbs.  Oh and also to now be ridiculed by friends and wives alike.

  1. robbiecurlee – @JasonCurlee oh ya & tell @gibbsg your not allowed to be friends anymore…….
  2. robbiecurlee – @Staciagibbs bwahahaha I feel ur pain I often say I have 4 kids not 3….but come to think of it @JasonCurlee is much harder than the girls.

i must admit that this mishap couldnt have happened to me with anyone better than jason curlee, joey davila, and john atkinson. i mean anyone else would have helped get gas, laughed about it and said have a nice day glad we could help you. BUT NOOOOOOOO!!!! THESE GUYS PUT IT ON WORLD WIDE MEDIA AND LET EVERYONE KNOW ABOUT IT!!! and it is that reason that i truly am thankful that it happened to me with these guys. my family and i are so blessed to be a part of what God is doing with and through these guys. if anything like this ever happens again i would not want to be with anyone else. these mighty men of God are an awesome blessing to me and my family, not that they helped get gas for my car, but that we were able to turn something not so fun to some into a wonderful and unforgetable memory. to john atkinson, jason curlee and joey davila, thanks for allowing my family and i to be part of yours. love you guys and look forward to many more adventures with you all.
