It’s Not Normal

System Is NormalGod didn’t call us to be abnormal in a normal world…He called us to be normal in an abnormal world.

We need to redefine what is normal

God didn’t call you to fit in….He called you to stand out…that’s normal.

  • It’s normal for a teenager to save themselves sexually until marriage.
  • It’s normal that if a teen has lost their virginity to determine they are going to have a second virginity born out of the purity of Christ.
  • It’s normal to not smoke weed or do drugs…that’s what’s cool.
  • It’s normal for a teen (or adult I might add) not to go out and drink to altar their personality at a party to “fit in”.
  • All the normal kids don’t have to get drunk to numb the pain of a meaningless life cause they have something to live for…
  • All the normal men stay faithful to their wives…
  • When you’re at work the normal man is not standing around flirting with his female co-workers.
  • It’s also normal for a woman not to do that as well.
  • The normal man doesn’t push the limits of flirtation until the he gets burned and then ruins his family…NO…
  • What is normal is a man that stays faithful to his one wife…men…let me tell you…that’s sexy to a woman.
  • And if you have blown it and you are on your second…or even third time around…it’s normal not to continue those patterns that got you in that place the first time around.

Matthew 5:14-16 You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.  Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

What are some other things you would say should be redefined as the norm?

It’s normal to NOT be in debt and give as God has given to you.
It’s normal to be REAL friends with people who don’t look like you.

Based on how I defined abnormal and normal, that God’s way of living is actually normal…I think by nature it’s easier to live in an abnormal world. That is why it takes God creating us anew when we choose to follow Him.

By default our desires are to an abnormal world.
