Emails To My Team – Momentum

Don’t Lose The Momentum

It’s amazing how fast Sunday comes each week…at least for me…and with what regularity…every seven days.

After just finishing up a great eight months of church…did I just say that…EIGHT MONTHS…it is easy to fall into the monotony of the week.  It’s easy for our weeks to become a routine.  We can make church on Sunday so easy that we can wing it.  We can show up and make it just happen.

Don’t forget two things as we continue to make BAF 5 Points a REALITY and RELEVANT church in our area:

  • The Why – Jesus died and paid a horrible death so that humanity would have a way to God.  So far 93 people have prayed to begin a relationship with Christ.  That is why what we do matters.  That is why we do what we do each week.  That is why it should not “just happen”.  That is why it should be done with excellence.  There are many…MANY people in our area and in this world that don’t have that relationship.  That is why we can not make it monotonous and routine.
  • The One – We can’t do this without Him.  He is the one that draws man to Him.  He is the one that enables us with the power to do what we can do.  He is the one that we must rely upon each week.  He is the one that choose to partner with us in all our imperfections to reach those around us.  He is the one that placed us here for such a time as this.

Let’s not lose our MOMENTUM by slipping into the routine of the week.  Let’s keep focused on the WHY and the ONE.
